Ford MUSTANG

Los Angeles Auto Show 2007

I collect pictures for the model.
This paper is very useful. You can see the size easily. This green clay is oil clay which I used to use when I was in elementary school.
Then, I make a box. I put this oil clay inside and pour silicone to make a mold. When the mold get dried,
I put clear tapes around the mold and pour resin into the mold to make a master.
Explanation about pouring resin into the mold:
1) put clear tapeds around the mold high enough
2) pour resin
3) put the mold into vacuum desiccator to take air in resin (it gets warm)
4) when it gets cool, take the rasin out of mold
I will then start carving the resin. I usually use chisel/engraving knife.
Comparing with the pictures, I keep carving.
I use this yellow masking tape when I carve.
The gray part is epoxy putty. (when you want to add to the original master, it is useful.)
Here is a box again. I put this oil clay inside the box and pour silicone to make a mold. When the mold get dried,
I put clear tapes around the mold and pour resin into the mold to make a master.
I made two of the white model without putty. One for the window, the other one is to keep as a master.
When I carve inside the model, I use router.
Tires are made by resin, too. Chassis is made by plastic board.
White buttons for the dashboard(grayish brown color):made out of epoxy putty.
White switches, meter panels: plastic stick.
Wheels: I see pictures and draw the design. I
I make small resin plate and put the design on top of it. Then cut it little by little using engraving knife.

Disc breaks: I make them fron resin and paint them.
I paint wheels into silver color using spray gun)
I use spray gun to for the body, too.
I used brush for this brownand black part.
I usepolyvinyl chloride for the window. (vacuuming: I made the tool by myself)
I sprayed the window to make it a little brown.
I use clear bond to glew the body and the window.
Decals: I use a printer in my studio to print.
Lights are epoxy resin (made in Italy)
